One Night In Pandora festival στην Ουτρέχτη στις 23 Μαΐου

Όπως έχουμε αναφέρει και στο παρελθόν στο ClockSound, η Ευρώπη έχει να προσφέρει μια πληθώρα πολύ ιδιαίτερων εκδηλώσεων/φεστιβάλ όλο το χρόνο, πέρα από τα πιο δημοφιλή μεγάλα φεστιβάλ του καλοκαιριού. Σε αυτά μπορεί κανείς να απολαύσει πολύ καλές μπάντες σε όμορφους συναυλιακούς χώρους, με πιο ταιριαστά set ups. Το αποτέλεσμα είναι μία πολύ πιο δυνατή live εμπειρία σε σχέση πχ με ένα live της ίδιας μπάντας σε ένα μεγάλο φεστιβάλ στις 12 το μεσημέρι, κάτω από τον ήλιο, με 100 άτομα κοινό (καθώς οι υπόλοιποι δεν έχουν ακόμα ξυπνήσει). Αυτός είναι ο λόγος που μας αρέσουν πολύ τέτοιες εκδηλώσεις και τις αναζητούμε στην Ευρώπη.

Στην Ουτρέχτη της Ολλανδίας λαμβάνει χώρα κάθε χρόνο τον Νοέμβρη το Les Guess Who? Festival. Ένα τετραήμερο φεστιβάλ, με πάρα πολύ ενδιαφέροντα ονόματα. Οι υπεύθυνοι του Le Guess Who? όμως διοργανώνουν στον ίδιο χώρο (TivoliVredenburg) το One Night In Pandora, ένα μονοήμερο φεστιβάλ στις 23 Μαΐου.

Οι headliners φέτος είναι οι πολύ αγαπημένοι μας Thee Oh Sees. Να σημειώσουμε ότι η μπάντα κυκλοφορεί νέο δίσκο σύντομα, με τίτλο Mutilator Defeated At Last.

 

 

Πριν τους Thee Oh Sees, θα έχουμε την χαρά να απολαύσουμε μία άλλη πολύ ποιοτική μπάντα, τους Pallbearer και να ακούσουμε ζωντανά ένα μέρος του καταπληκτικού τελευταίου άλμπουμ τους, Foundations Of Burden.

 

 

Το lineup ολοκληρώνεται με τους Noura Mint Seymali, Kevin Morby, Wand και Morgan Delt, το ομώνυμο άλμπουμ των οποίων προτείνεται ανεπιφύλακτα στους λάτρεις του ψυχεδελικού ήχου.

Συνεπώς, θεωρούμε το One Night In Pandora ότι αποτελεί τον καλύτερο τρόπο να περάσει το σαββατόβραδό του κάποιος που μπορεί να ταξιδέψει ή βρίσκεται στην Ολλανδία.

Le Guess Who? presents One Night in Pandora with Thee Oh Sees, Pallbearer, Noura Mint Seymali, and more

 

Le Guess Who? in Utrecht, The Netherlands, presents a new music event titled ‘One Night in Pandora’ in May 2015, featuring hyperactive psych/garage band Thee Oh Sees, doom metal powerhouses Pallbearer, psychedelic wunderkind Morgan Delt and Noura Mint Seymali, a sensational vocalist and Ardine player from Mauritania, Africa. The event is organized instead of Le Guess Who? May Day and takes place Saturday, May 23 at the Pandora hall in TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht.

 

Especially for One Night in Pandora, Thee Oh Sees will play an exclusive Dutch show. According to many, the band delivered one of most legendary shows of 2013 with their performance at Le Guess Who?. Arkansas’ Pallbearer, who recently released their second album, Foundations of Burden, forge their own brilliantly desolate path through the realms of doom, metal and psychedelia.

Le Guess Who? and Music Meeting are very excited to announce that Noura Mint Seymali will do her very first performances in The Netherlands. Together, the festivals made this debut possible. Noura Mint Seymali is a nationally beloved star and one of Mauritania’s most adventurous young artists: she started her musical career at just 13. Trained by her grandmother, Seymali mastered the Ardine, a 9-string harp reserved only for women. On stage, the sensational Seymali is fueled by the exploratory sound of her husband Jeiche Ould Chighaly’s psych guitar lines.

Also performing at One Night in Pandora are Kevin Morby, known for his work as a member of The Babies and Woods; LA-based fuzz rockers Wand; and wunderkind Morgan Delt, who recently signed to the prestigious Sub Pop Records.

Le Guess Who?’s Johan Gijsen: “Le Guess Who? Festival 2014 in November was a huge international success, with an overwhelming response from visitors and press. To maintain this quality, we’re primarily focusing on Le Guess Who? Festival 2015 at the moment. We decided not to organize May Day, but to offer the more intimate One Night in Pandora as a celebration with our fans and with Thee Oh Sees, a favorite of our visitors as well as the organization. Of course, we’ll also celebrate the fact that we won the IJzeren Podiumdieren Awards in January for Best Festival of The Netherlands and Best Promoter.”
