Η Ellen Allien στη Ζάκυνθο και το Barrage Club στις 13 Ιουλίου

Η φοβερή και τρομερή Ellen Alien καταφθάνει στην πανέμορφη Ζάκυνθο και το Barrage Club στις 13 Ιουλίου για το The Friendly Co. 2018, λίγες μόλις ημέρες μετά το δικό της We Are Not Alone by Ellen Allien στο Βερολίνο και 2 ημέρες πριν την εμφάνισή της στο κορυφαίο Melt Festival στη Γερμανία.

We are back with the 3rd edition of our boat party and ready to shake things up.

This year we invite two International djs, the british phenomenon Blawan & a true Berlin legend Ellen Allien, alongside non other but our Analogue brothers, Jerm, a.metz & Mr.M. The event as usual, will take place in two parts, the boat and the club.

Part I: Right before the sunset we set sail on our pirate ship, where we will feature one of the International guests alongside one of our local Analogue heroes on a cruise set to write History.

Part II: We know deeply that 6 hours of dancing are not enough for the Lobster Tribe, so an hour after midnight we continue our little Techno voyage on dry land and the dancefloor of Barrage Club Zakynthos where the second international guest will be featured alongside the remaining two Analogue heroes until the morning light.

Blawan Bio:

The sonic career of Jamie Roberts a.k.a. Blawan has been powered by a masterful knowledge of contrasts in mood and tone color, along with an ability to zero in on the most impactful moments of a mix and magnify them to larger-than-life proportions. These tendencies have placed him squarely within the nerve center of everything to do with techno culture: he has been one of the more notable artists to re-discover modular synthesis as a means for mining avant-garde rhythmic sounds, joining forces with Arthur Cayzer (a.k.a. Pariah) for the notoriously rough-edged, red-lining Karenn duo, also scoring collaborations with Surgeon and letting his excess energies spill over into equally intriguing aliases like Kilner and Bored Young Adults. His releasing history includes output on Hessle Audio, R&S, Hinge Finger, Black Sun, and Clone’s Basement Series, along with releases on Avian and Trilogy Tapes under his other aliases. Meanwhile, his personal Ternesc imprint is on the rise as well. All this confirms his versatility and workaholic concentration upon diversifying his means of personal expression, refusing to simply repeat tried-and-true formulae.

By his own admission, last year’s eclectic Nutrition EP for Ternesc represented a significant breakthrough in this area, and provided the “green light” for a more ambitious and colorful full LP set on Ternesc, Wet Will Always Dry. This new tour-de-force lays everything out on the table and showcases all of the different motifs that have so far earned Blawan his reputation, while also introducing completely new elements. Such exercises can definitely be a gamble, but rest assured that both new fans and old will find this one to be an immersive narrative rather than a mere “demo reel” whose only “message” is the skill level of its creator: the many distinct parts of Wet… range from ecstatic to hair-raising, and lock together like the different districts in a well-functioning, constantly buzzing metropolis.

Ellen Allien Bio:

Ellen Allien is shaping, supporting, stimulating, forming and foremost moving to the electronic music universe. She is famous for her eclectic DJ set´s, where she combines perfectly techno, acid and freak house. As a born, living and working girl from Berlin, she got something, that not many colleagues of her can call their own: a dynamic, freedom loving hometown with a vibrant club and party scene, that supports and forms her passion since decades. As a DJ, musician, producer, label-manger and creative all-rounder, she inhaled all her encounters with the electronic music culture deeply and carved her very own space while creating a one-off artistic universe.

After growing a global reputation as a DJ and producer of mid-nighties Acid, Minimal and Techno, she launched her label BPitch Control in 1999 in Berlin and transformed it into a hub of techno, house and other electronic sounds from beyond. Additionally, she acts out her other devotion and designs t-shirts and cloth for her label, too. During all that time, airports, planes and countless clubs been her second home and she lived the life of an international demanded DJ, that got strong followers all around the globe.
Today she held DJ residencies in clubs like DC10 / Ibiza or Nitsa / Barcelona. You find her frequently on the bills of festivals like as Melt in Germany or Name in France. Furthermore, her new event series „We Are Not Alone“, her instore series “Vinylism” and BPitch Control showcases worldwide are filling up her busy day to day, night to night schedule. As she listens to music all day, she also launched the weekly radio show “Braincandy”, that gets broadcasted on Ibiza Sonica Radio every Monday from 7-8pm during the summer season.

Beside all these activities, there is also an inner voice in Ellen Allien’s soul, that hums throughout her entire life. It tells her stories in sound, that she constantly forms into new aural adventures, most recently on her EP’s „Landing xx“ [BPC328], „Turn Off Your Mind“ [BPC324] (2016), and „High“ [BPC315] (2015) – three records that bewitch with dark, new-wave-laden techno, shaky electronics and demanding Tech-House. Also, she isn’t afraid of telling long musical story arcs, as her latest, diversified album’s “Dust” [BPC217] from 2010 and „LISm“ [BPC264] from 2013 point out. A huge artistic output, that is celebrated all over the world and has even been performed at temples of modern art such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
In all this bustle as a fixed star in the electronic music galaxy, Ellen Allien stayed human and independent after all and shares her enthusiasm with others: her creative base and label BPitch Control, her fellow musicians and her deeply moving audience. And as an extraordinary creature and a one-of-a- kind artist, she shaped and is shaping Berlin’s vibrant electronic club landscape as well as the global electronic music culture, to which she is dancing – all day and all night long.
